Terras – Sol developed under the concepts of quality, credibility and innovation. They have remained untouched after half a century of agricul-tural history and have influenced agricultural development in Ecuador like no other company.

Before 1961 pineapple was a “seasonal” product in Ecuador. Then it was grown all year round by Terra-Sol introducing technical growing methods to pineapple in Ecuador. Also, MD- 2, today´s market favorite, was first grown in Ecuador by Terra-Sol.

Also, Abaca was first grown in Ecuador by Terra–Sol after brought from the Philippines. Today, Ecuador and Philippines are the only world suppliers in the world of this vegetable fiber.

Half of the papayas consumed in Ecuador and all of the papaya exported from Ecuador are “Solo Sunrise”.

Terra-Sol imported the seeds from Hawaii more than a quarter of a century ago and started developing this variety for the first time in Ecuador.

Today, Terra-Sol exports all over the world. Colom-bia, Peru, Chile, North America, Europe, South Africa and the Far East are some destinations.
